Business Development Representative, Commission Only (Hampton Roads, VA)

The role

This is a commission-only seat. There is no base salary and no draw. You are paid on what closes, with no cap. If that is not the arrangement you are looking for, stop reading here rather than spending an hour on an interview. We would rather tell you now than at the offer.

You would open healthcare staffing accounts for Engaged Headhunters: assisted living, skilled nursing, rehab, and home health operators who need clinicians and cannot fill the seats on their own.

What you will do

Prospect assisted living, skilled nursing, rehab, and home health operators in your territory.
Work out what a prospect is actually short of, and whether we can fill it.
Book and run the first conversation, then hand the search to the recruiter on the desk.

What you need

A track record in B2B sales you can talk through, ideally with cold outreach in it. Healthcare or staffing experience helps but is not required.
Enough runway to work a commission-only seat while a pipeline builds. This is a real consideration and worth being honest with yourself about.
Comfort working independently. The role is remote and nobody is going to stand over you.

Compensation

Commission only. No base, no draw. Uncapped.
Paid on placements that close from accounts you open.
The rate and the payment schedule are set out in writing before you start, not after.
